Beware of Fake Invitation to Tenders/Quotations Claiming to be From MOE Schools Asking for Quotations for Goods/Services
1) The Ministry of Education (MOE) is aware of some fraudulent activities involving fake documents purportedly issued by MOE to request quotations for goods or services, and to issue fake Award Notifications and Purchase Orders (POs) to affected vendors.

2) The perpetrators used forged MOE letterheads, email addresses with names or domains that look similar to MOE emails (e.g. "@gov-sg.co") and made calls/WhatsApp messages to solicit information and the delivery of goods from potential vendors to schools. MOE would like to advise vendors that in general procurement are processed via GeBIZ and correspondences on procurement with MOE or schools should be via email addresses ending with gov.sg or edu.sg.

3) MOE takes a serious view of the cases and has referred them to the Police for investigation. MOE has also informed affected vendors to disregard the fake correspondences.

4) MOE advises vendors to be vigilant of suspicious mails and phone calls and to exercise caution when sharing their business or personal details online. Should anyone encounter this scam, please disregard these fake order(s) and if necessary, lodge a police report.

5) For clarification on such suspicious purchases, please check with the relevant schools.
